In addition two the two Conard County books that have just been released we have another slated in November: RANCHER’S DEADLY RISK.

I mentioned earlier that I would tell you a little more about the two books out now, though.

Guardian in Disguise is about a nosy ex-journalist, now journalism professor at the local community college, who pokes her nose into the doings of a mysterious but handsome fellow teacher. Little does she know that he’s an ATF agent in deep cover, and that her poking around in his past is going to lead some very bad guys to both of them.

The Widow’s Protector is a very different story. A raging tornado brings together a pregnant widow and a wandering stranger. He is trying to recover from the death of his wife, and being a builder by nature, he seizes the opportunity to help the widow out after the tornado destroys part of her roof. What he couldn’t possibly guess is that his late wife’s brother blames him for her death, and has determined to take vengeance.

I’ll tell you more about The Rancher’s Deadly Risk as time draws closer.

I am writing books, I am editing books, and I can barely keep the publication schedule straight in my head as the titles often change after I have written the book. So I have trouble looking back at manuscripts and figuring out which book is which. It also gets a little more confusing when my authors copies come out of sequence. LOL

So here, as best as I know is what’s up:

GUARDIAN IN DISGUISE is available now. A nosy newspaper reporter manages to get into the thick of things with an ATF agent who is lying low as he waits to testify at trial. Things heat up in a lot of ways.

THE WIDOW’S PROTECTOR has a release date of June 1 but I see it’s already available some places in e-books. It may also be available in hard-copy. The story is about a pregnant widow who takes in a drifter during a tornado. He hangs around to help her repair the damage, unaware that he is being stalked by a killer who has no qualms about killing a pregnant widow as well.

Another title, THE RANCHER’S DEADLY RISK, is scheduled for spring sometime. It involves a teacher who steps into prevent some bullying and becomes the target of some deadly bullying herself. Her protector is a hunk of a rancher who also teaches, and designates himself her bodyguard.

At present I am working on yet another CC book, details to come later.

Thanks for reading!

Sadly, Murphy seems to have taken up permanent residence around here this spring. Things started going wrong with a computer crash in early February, and the troubles continue. Not all is bad, though. It seldom is. My youngest daughter just graduated from high school and she’s full of excitement, hope and promise, eagerly working toward the next stage of her life: college. Okay, I admit it makes me feel old. But it also carries me back to the time when everything was possible, because no irrevocable choices had been made yet. I just hope she keeps all her options open as long as possible. I’m so proud of the young woman she has become and promises to become. But I still say Murphy needs to leave town. He’s getting to be a real pain. Does anyone want to borrow him for a bit? Hugs, Rachel

Hello, and welcome to my blog! We are just starting out and are excited to be starting this site. People have commented that www.conardcounty.com is a nice site but hard to comment on, and my readers have asked for an easier way to communicate with me. Since I will be launching a new series of books with Harlequin Nocturne in the near future, I felt the time was appropriate to launch a parallel site for Rachel Lee where readers can have an easier time commenting, and we can expand the scope of what we can talk about.
